Breton RCMP are asking for the public’s help to locate and return six horses stolen from a Winfield-area farm southwest of Edmonton, Alberta.
Horse thieves entered the property located along Highway 13 between Winfield and Buck Lake during the night of Wednesday, December 6, 2017, and made off with six horses. The owners discovered the theft the next morning. Tracks at the location indicate that a truck and trailer were used to remove the horses. The horses were lured with oats.
The family is pleading for the safe return of their horses.
“These horses are like family to their owners. They are devastated by this. It’s our hope that they can be returned safe and sound as soon as possible,” says RCMP Cpl. Curtis Peters.
“Bring them home safely,” says Cornelia Cameron. “They are a big part of our family and our lives. They’re very loved.”
