The M7-Series is Kubota’s Mid-Range Tractor Entry into the Commercial Livestock and Row-Crop Production Markets
From the floor of its 2014 Dealer Meeting in Nashville, on October 14, 2014, Kubota Canada Ltd. introduced its M7-Series tractor line, three new mid-range tractors in the 130 to 170 horsepower range. This is the largest horsepower offering for Kubota in its tractor line-up to date.
“The Kubota M7 tractor series begins a strategic full-scale entry into Canada’s commercial and row crop agricultural markets where we will compete with other big players in the field,” said Bob Hickey, president of Kubota Canada Ltd. “Advances in technology and overall comfort will make it a top choice for hay producers as well.”
The introduction of the M7-Series, which will be made available to customers in select markets by the second half of 2015, was one of several key product announcements made at the Kubota Dealer Meeting, where nearly 4,000 dealers and staff from across North America are expected this week.
“Over the last four decades, Kubota has developed a well-respected name in the industry”, Hickey continued. “As we move into new markets, we continue to build on the strength of the Kubota brand to grow our business, and with the introduction of these new products, Kubota will serve more customer segments across more markets than ever before.”
Technology and Comfort at its Finest
Kubota has significantly invested in technologies to bring precision farming to market in an operator-friendly way. With integrated controls for the engine, transmission, hydraulic functions and implements, Kubota M7-Series tractors are highly efficient, resulting in reduced fuel and materials costs. The easy-to-use control panel offers a touch screen that makes it possible to control all operating functions from a single screen, and the M7’s performance monitor and auto guiding systems make work in the field even more productive. The wide cab on the M7-Series features ample operating space and ergonomically-placed controls, minimizing operator fatigue even after long periods of work.
Production on the M7 Series will begin in the second quarter of 2015 at Kubota’s newly constructed Farm Machinery plant in France. The facility is set to accommodate the production of about 3,000 tractors by 2017 for distribution in Western Europe, the U.S., Canada, Australia and Japan.
